Domestic Violence ID ABUSE program
Funded by a $399,866 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence against Women, the ID ABUSE program will identify abusers early, track their criminal histories, and provide the partners with the framework and training to share the data and apply consistent arrest, investigation and prosecution standards throughout Mobile County.
The ID ABUSE program draws on the collaborations already under way, specifically the Mobile County Domestic Violence Task Force, a multidisciplinary, multi-agency coalition of 108 members and led by the Mobile County District Attorney's Office, Penelope House, and the chiefs of Mobile and Saraland police departments.
